#9: The Dangerous Summer - War Paint
I’m a sucker for anything that reminds me of music from high school and The Dangerous Summer does just that. War Paint doesn’t sound as much like early The Starting Line as they did on Reach For The Sun, but that’s probably for the better. Starting to come in to their own, the first six songs really hit with a nostalgic sound I love to hear. The latter half of the records drags a bit, but I think the first half hits hard enough to have lasting power. The video is from I believe the second single and my favorite track off the record, No One’s Gonna Need You More.
