#8: Halos - Living Like Kings In Confined Spaces

How this band is not bigger, is beyond me. This album may have been posted towards the end of 2010 on MySpace, but it wasn’t printed or made available on major digital retailers until this year so I’m going to use it. With some of their better songs reworked from their previous EPs and a slew of new tracks, this CD was everything I was hoping it’d be. Engaging atmospheric music pinned with wonderful writing. I really hope this band gets the praise they should in the coming years. Definitely for fans of Northstar, Straylight Run and Brand New and keeping up with the nostalgic theme from yesterday, Halos conveys that same sound. If you don’t know who they are yet, listen to Amalgam right now.
Fact - The only reason I originally listened to them years ago was because Halo 3 had just come out and I came across their name on AbsolutePunk.net.
